Eye pain is a common reason for people to seek medical care from their doctor (or an ophthalmologist, a specialist who deals only with eyes). It is often described as burning, prickly, dull, granular, a feeling of "something in my eye," tender, sore, or stabbing. Sometimes eye pain is confused with symptoms, such as a headache or sinus pain.

Some home remedies for eye pain include:

  • 1 part of rose water & 1 part of lime juice. Store in a bottle and use as an eye drop.
  • Equal quantities of liquorice and cumin (jeera). Take ¼ teaspoon every day along with 1 teaspoon honey for a month.
  • Drops of eyebright herb are also beneficial for the eye conditions.
